Bonjour, Osaka!
Schiaparelli has brought a little je ne sais quoi to Japan with the opening of its a new atelier-boutique at Hankyu Osaka. Located on the department store’s sixth floor, the all-new space celebrates the maison’s unmistakable approach to fashion, defined by surrealist art, playful details, optical illusions and dramatic tailoring.
Designed by Creative Director Daniel Roseberry in collaboration with Swedish architecture studio Halleroed, the boutique takes inspiration from the house’s historic home at 21 Place Vendôme in Paris. Designed to feel like a Parisian apartment, the space features brushed stainless steel, mirrored walls, lacquered wood and sculptural furniture, giving each room its own character.
Inside, a dedicated Boudoir showcases ready-to-wear, while a separate Bag Room houses the maison’s leather goods. Jewellery takes centre stage in a mirrored room that reflects the collection from every angle, while a private VIP salon offers a more bespoke shopping experience.
To celebrate the opening, the boutique has presented it Fall/Winter 2026 main collection and pre-collection alongside a selection of Schiaparelli “Iconics”. Highlights include the Secret, Soufflé and Face bags, anatomical jewellery and sculptural tailoring, showcasing the brand’s mix of classic French design and fun surralist art.
