Yeah, this is tough.
Next on the collab wheel, adidas and BAPE have joined forces once again, this time with a collection that looks to the golden era of basketball style, with Oklahoma City Thunder player Jalen Williams starring in the campaign.
Kicking off the launch is a co-branded version of the Crazy Energy+, a sneaker introduced at the start of this year as the next part of adidas’ long-running “Crazy” franchise. For the project, the silhouette has been reworked with a metallic silver camo colourway, finished with a knitted ‘WGM’ lace overlay – a homage to BAPE’s “World Gone Mad” slogan – and two sets of laces.
Meanwhile, the apparel offering takes things further with a selection of camo-heavy pieces. The highlight, no doubt, is a black varsity jacket complete with gold stud detailing, purple sleeves and a XL chenille graphic across the back. Elsewhere, a mesh hoodie arrives with a shark face across the hood, while matching Adibreak track pants offer another nod to the duo’s shared sporting roots.
Rounding things out are a “World Gone Mad” training tee, BABY MILO graphic T-shirt, reversible knit beanie and basketball bag, giving the collection plenty to explore beyond the court.
The BAPE x adidas collection drops on 7 November through the adidas CONFIRMED app, selected retailers, BAPE STORE locations and BAPE’s online store.
