Bang & Olufsen Unveils the Beolab 90 Titan Edition in Celebration of 100 Years of Sound

A century celebration calls for a new drop.

Bang & Olufsen is celebrating its hundredth year with the new Beolab 90 Titan Edition. Created through the brand’s exclusive Atelier service, the Titan Beolab 90 reimagines its most ambitious loudspeaker with a sharper, more elemental aesthetic. Ten years after the original Beolab 90 changed the conversation around high end audio, the Titan Edition arrives not just as an anniversary release but as a continuation of the innovation that has shaped the brand’s identity.

Kristian Teär, CEO of Bang & Olufsen, describes the Titan Edition as a bold marker of the brand’s 100 year legacy. “It pays homage to our iconic flagship speaker and showcases the level of craftsmanship only Bang & Olufsen can deliver,” he says.

The Titan Edition strips the Beolab 90 back to its structural core, revealing an aluminium body. At its center is a 65 kg cabinet, hand sandblasted with fine particles of crushed volcanic rock to create a textured, mineral like surface. Polished base panels give the speaker a floating effect, softening the weight of its architecture and adding a sense of lift to the silhouette. The face mask is milled from a single solid block of aluminium, a process that takes twelve hours for each piece.

Meanwhile, the engineering inside remains as ambitious as ever, with each sculptural tower housing eighteen handmade drivers, allowing the Titan Edition to shift between precise sweet spot listening and an expansive 360 degree sound field. The Beolab 90 Titan Edition is the first in a series of five Atelier crafted pieces that will be unveiled throughout Bang & Olufsen’s centenary year. Each edition will reinterpret the Beolab 90 through a different lens and will be produced in limited numbers, complete with certificates of authenticity for collectors and connoisseurs.

Bang & Olufsen did not disclose pricing for the Titan Edition, but with the standard Beolab 90 already commanding an elite price tag, this limited release is expected to exceed it. The Titan Edition arrives later this year through select Bang & Olufsen channels.
