Chanel Takes on NYC for Matthieu Blazy’s Debut Chanel Métiers d’Art 2026

Set against a distinctly New York setting.

Chanel returned to New York on Tuesday with its annual Métiers d’Art show, the first under artistic director Matthieu Blazy. The presentation delivered a cinematic atmosphere that captured the spirit of the city and highlighted Blazy’s confident vision for the house, also showcasing the exceptional skill of Chanel’s artisan partners.

The brand staged the event on an abandoned subway platform beneath 168 Bowery, the same location where Tom Ford held his spring 2020 show. Guests rode the “C” train into the space as subway sounds echoed through the station. Among the attendees were Chanel ambassadors A$AP Rocky and Margaret Qualley, along with a bunch of other star-studded celebrities.
