Featuring Paolo Maldini, Chito Vera, Garance Vallée, and Shivas.
Stone Island has unveiled the next chapter of its ongoing project “Community as a Form of Research”, introducing the Spring/Summer 2026 collection through a cross-cultural portrait series. The initiative continues the brand’s long-running exchange with voices from across its global community, reflecting a shared commitment to experimentation, dialogue and innovation.
This season once again assembles a diverse group of figures, captured in intimate moments where personality meets product in what the brand describes as an expression of LAB + LIFE. The campaign opens with musicians Joe James and Mike Skinner, before expanding to include former footballer Paolo Maldini, mixed martial artist Chito Vera, artist and designer Garance Vallée and loudspeaker designer Shivas. Later chapters feature Serpentine Galleries’ artistic director Hans Ulrich Obrist, alongside actor Cha Seung-won, Latin Grammy-winning artist Feid, producer A. G. Cook, actor Charlie Hunnam and DJ YUVIE.
Shot by David Sims and styled by Max Pearmain under the creative direction of Ferdinando Verderi, the portraits are set against Stone Island’s signature white backdrop. Each image is paired with personal questions curated by Obrist, reinforcing the project’s focus on conversation, curiosity and the evolving relationship between community and design.
