BIRKENSTOCK and ETRO have unveiled a considered collaboration that unites two heritage houses through a shared devotion to craftsmanship, tradition and confident self-expression. The partnership marries German precision and functional design with Italian artisanal richness and bohemian flair, resulting in footwear that feels both distinctive and enduring.
At the centre of the release is the iconic “Boston” clog, first introduced in 1976 and approaching its 50th anniversary in 2026. Under the creative direction of Marco De Vincenzo, ETRO’s emblematic codes are seamlessly translated onto the silhouette. Paisley motifs, intricate textures and refined detailing bring a decorative depth to a form long associated with pared-back utility.
Reimagined in premium suede and supple nappa leather, the “Boston” is elevated through embroidered accents and bespoke Western-inspired buckles. The outsole, meanwhile, fuses BIRKENSTOCK’s recognisable bone-pattern tread with ETRO’s Paisley insignia, delivering a subtle yet unmistakable signature underfoot.
