JW Anderson Steps Back Into Footwear With Diadora

JW Anderson has teamed up with Diadora for a new footwear collaboration, marking the label’s first project with the heritage sneaker company.

At the centre is the Equipe, a running silhouette first introduced by Diadora in 1975 for professional athletes. Long before the modern sneaker boom, the style was rooted firmly in performance, making its revival feel closer to archive restoration than trend-driven reissue.

For the collaboration, Jonathan Anderson keeps the trainer’s slim, low-profile shape intact while shifting it into a more fashion-led space. Saturated colourways and elevated finishes refresh the original design without losing its athletic DNA.

The result is a considered meeting of sports heritage and contemporary styling, bringing a quieter archival silhouette back into focus.
