Must-try Restaurants in London!

If your list of London restaurants to try keeps getting longer, you’re not alone. With summer in full swing and new openings landing almost every week, keeping up with what’s new, and more importantly, what’s actually worth booking, isn’t always easy. From modern Georgian cooking to refined Mediterranean flavours and one of the City’s most impressive dining destinations, here are three restaurants we think are worth crossing off your list.

Lucky Cat, Bishopsgate

CUISINE: Asian-Inspired      PRICE: ££££
60 floors up in 22 Bishopsgate, Gordon Ramsay’s Lucky Cat is one of the chef’s biggest London openings. Inspired by the drinking dens of 1930s Shanghai and Tokyo’s kissa clubs, it’s a restaurant as much about the setting as it is the food, with City views worth the trip alone. The menu is made for sharing, with sushi, sashimi, robata grilled dishes and wagyu you’ll want to order twice. As the evening rolls in, DJs take over and the atmosphere shifts up a gear, but it’s just as good a spot to slow down over lunch.

DakaDaka

CUISINE: Modern Georgian     PRICE: £££
DakaDaka is one of Mayfair’s newest openings, and it’s brought something London hasn’t really seen before: authentic Georgian cooking, done over open fire. Expect hand-folded khinkali, khachapuri straight from the oven, and a natural wine list that gets as much attention as the menu. The room’s rustic rather than polished, all marble bar and low chatter, with a cocktail bar downstairs if you’re not ready to leave. It’s a rare thing to find in London, and worth the trip to Mayfair on its own.
