Karl Lagerfeld Opens Up a Café in Amsterdam

Karl Lagerfeld becomes the latest fashion brand to enter into the field of dining and hospitality by debuting its first-ever café in Amsterdam. Located between Raadhuisstraat and Herengracht, the café is located on the bottom floor of the brand’s headquarters in the Netherlands.

Co-created with the Amsterdam-favourite Pantopia bakery and its founder, Youssef Zyat, the café serves up sweet and savoury pastries. Speciality beverages arrive in co-branded black cups.

The monochromatic space is soft, not harsh, and is designed to be an immersive extension of Karl’s world. Take the myriad of displayed books, for example, as Lagerfeld himself owned approximately 300,000 design books in his private library. Ideal for a coffee table or your very own library, the books are available for purchase, but they all come under one very specific genre. That is, Karl.

Tokidoki dolls, bags, and Lagerfeld-synonymous accessories like leather gloves, skinny black ties and a classic white shirt can also be bought in the space. We’ll take one shirt or two!

Karl Lagerfeld’s Café is located at Raadhuisstraat 32, 1016 DG Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is open daily from 8am until 5pm. Take a look at the space below.
