PAUSE is a multi-platform magazine that tailors its content to young male fashion covering street style, latest trends and style advice. We are always looking to offer opportunities to fashion enthused people who want to work in the industry. PAUSE will give you the opportunity to broaden your creativity in what you enjoy doing!

If you’re wondering as to why you should get involved with PAUSE then you should realise that our website receives 80,000 hits per month and growing, meaning that your exposure as a writer will expand. Although we focus on men’s fashion, the roles are open to both men and women!

For those of you that want to break into the fashion industry, adding us to your list of experiences is a great place to start. This will be voluntary work, but enable you to learn skills and gain experience. This is a great chance to work for an editorial company and gain experience to further your career path and build up a strong list of industry contacts and start to enjoy the perks of working within fashion i.e. fashion shows/events, launch parties and press days.

Internship Opportunities:

Marketing, PR and Events Intern (Based in office)

We are looking for a creative marketing and PR intern to assist on various projects, events and marketing activities including social media.

This internship is very flexible and requires you to come into the office for the duration of the role (Central London).

Requirements:

  • Helping produce the weekly newsletter
  • Managing social media (Mainly Twitter) as well as looking at ways to improve & grow all socials
  • Writing press releases for events
  • Promotion, marketing & working at events
  • Building database: press contacts and info
  • Influencer marketing activities
  • Communication with Influencers, press, bloggers and high-profile contacts
  • Event administration
  • Organising events and activities: Liaising with venues, artists, designers, printers


Online Writer Internship
(based in office)

We are looking for creative and fast writers to gain a 3 months internship (flexible in terms of length) which includes writing features, news, reporting, trends, and events.

This internship is very flexible and requires you to come into the office for the duration of the role (Central London).

Requirements:

  • Must be interested in men’s fashion.
  • Must be aware of all trends, fashion stores, brands, fashion blogs
  • Keen interest and understanding of writing
  • Ability to re-write, proof read and edit copy to improve readability online.
  • English/Journalism qualifications.
  • Must have an online blog/website or some blogging/editing experience.
  • Must be reliable, hardworking and fast with editing articles.
  • Must be efficient with emailing
  • Skills in photoshop/In Design, WordPress and social media is essential
  • Preferably based in London.


Fashion Editorial Assistant 
(Based in office)

We are looking for a creative fashion intern to gain a 3 months internship (flexible in terms of length) which includes assisting in all areas and keeping track of all editorial content. Helping out on editorial shoots, researching/planning, admin, and writing articles or social media (choice of either).

Requirements:

  • Must be interested in men’s fashion.
  • Skills in assisting, researching, social media and fashion.
  • Experience in assisting on fashion editorial shoots
  • Must be organised and good with general admin skills
  • Additional skills: Must be able to either write or be good with social media
  • Must be reliable, hardworking and obtain good English skills.


Assistant Editor Internship
(based in office)

We are looking for an assistant editor who is hard working to gain a 6 months internship (flexible in terms of length) which includes assistant the editor in all areas of the magazine, writing features, news, reporting, trends, and events.

This internship is very flexible and requires you to come into the office for the duration of the role (Central London).

Requirements:

  • Must be interested in men’s fashion.
  • Must have some previous magazine/blog/fashion or assisting experience
  • Must be aware of all trends, fashion stores, brands, fashion blogs
  • Keen interest and understanding of writing
  • Ability to re-write, proof read and edit copy to improve readability online.
  • English/Journalism/Fashion qualifications.
  • Must have an online blog/website or some blogging/editing experience.
  • Must be reliable, hardworking and fast with editing articles.
  • Must be efficient with emailing
  • Must be organised and have good dairy planning skills
  • Skills in photoshop/In Design, WordPress and social media is essential
  • Preferably based in London.


On-Going Opportunities:

Contributing writer (Online)
We are always looking for contributing writers to write articles for our website. We are very flexible and will send article ideas on a day that suits you to write and send in by. We’re also looking for writers who can do quick, professional write ups whenever needed.  We require each writer to send 1/2 articles a week but also be flexible and committed to write more if urgent.

Requirements:

  • Must have some passion for men’s fashion
  • Must have a passion for writing
  • Ability to rewrite, proof read and edit copy to improve readability online
  • English/Journalism qualifications
  • Must have an online blog/website or some blogging experience
  • Must be reliable, hardworking and possess good English skills
  • Must be quick, available to write as much as they can and communicative


Street Style Photographers

We’re looking for freelance street style photographers around the world to take photographs of stylish guys twice a month.

  • Must have some passion for men’s fashion
  • Fashion photography experience
  • Ability to take good/quality photographs
  • Enthusiastic, approachable and friendly
  • Owns a photographer camera (Good quality)
