Let’s take a moment and rewind to 2008 when PUMA released the Blaze of Glory in collaboration with Sneaker Freaker. Two great versions of the Blaze of Glory: the first was ‘Great White’ and the second was known as the ‘Black Beast’. Shoes or sharks? well, they had tooth jewels, triangulated attack logos and a translucent Trinomic ‘river of blood’ sole. Do we need to remind you that the ‘Great White’ and ‘Black Beast’ sold out in seconds all over the globe! Even a third Blaze of Glory version was made from real sharkskin which was given away in limited numbers.

Yes it is pretty much PUMA’s most successful collaboration projects of all time! Which is why we at PAUSE are more than happy to hear that they have once again joined forces. The high demand for the iconic shoes makes the Re-Issue Pack the perfect gift for the 5th anniversary!

Under SNEAKER FREAKER founder Woody’s direction the shoes have been remade. The satin sock-lining is now color coded, the lush nubuck has been fettled with a deep emboss that mimics sharkskin and a inner sole for extra comfort. It has been upgraded with materials such as lightweight neoprene mesh, welded synthetics and reflective materials. But don’t worry we still get the signature features like the shark tooth jewels and diamond logo.

In an oversize custom box, with foam padding, embossed with the diamond ‘shark attack’ logo you will find the shoes. The double release of the Blaze of Glory – in both original colors and with a new lightweight version will be available from FootpatrolHanon and END from November 30th.

Rumours have been swirling for days about a possible end to the Kanye x Nike collaboration that brought about the Yeezy 1 & 2. However, on New York’s Hot 97, Kanye somewhat confirmed his new affiliation in a few choice words:

kanye-1-662x250

“I took the adidas deal because I have royalties and I have to provide for my family.” ”Whatever is official, non-official, official—what y’all gonna see is I’m gonna be the Tupac of product.” “I’m gonna be the first hip-hop designer and because of that, I’m gonna be bigger than Wal-Mart.”

If it’s anything like his previous work, such as the Jasper, Don, and Mr Hudson from his collab with Louis Vuitton, the Yeezy, or his ghost designing for Guiseppe Zanotti, the core aesthetic of the brand will be kept with elements of Kanye sprinkled over. Or are we going to get a complete new look for Adidas by Kanye? A new design with a completely new Kanye infused aesthetic?

Whatever is in the works, with the likes of Yohji Yamamoto and Stella McCartney also in collaboration with the mega brand, expectations are at an all time high. No details have been put out at the moment but be sure to watch out for an official announcement which is likely to come with details in the coming weeks.
