“I just hate stuff that’s not fresh”
Imagine if Kele from Bloc Party succeeded in his transition to urban music. Is that hard? Well If he had, and he’d done it 10 years earlier, he would look like new kid on the block Travi$ Scott.
In a recent shoot with online retailer Mr Porter, the 21-year-old frankly stated “I just hate stuff that’s not fresh”, which was a relief considering he was snapped in a fresh, white Christophe Lemaire button-up, Neil Barrett black sweatpants, and Maison Martin Margiela sneakers.
Much in the way of Rap-garb convention, the shoot majored in respective black to white, casual to fly extremes – and it has to be said, this young Kanye West fosterling pulled it off outstandingly. One of the stand out pieces was a satin, jewel incrusted Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane bomber jacket that would startle any loyal Travi$ fan.
The “Upper Echelon” singer also wore AMI white jeans complimented by a simple white T-shirt by Ann Demeulemeester.
Hip-Hop stars seem to be foraging on into increasingly dapper regions as the years go on – where will they be in a decade or two?
