As this year wraps up, designers start to ready their SS15 collections.
Japanese brand Mr. Gentleman, have showcased what’s to come ahead of the new year. The collection reflects landscapes inspired by some of the most fashionable countries and cities, such as Mexico, Italy, France as well as New York; adopting those colours, fabrics and silhouettes that are prevalent within those regions. More specifically pastel colours are heavily featured, lilacs, greens and blues paired with loose fits, checks and cool outerwear.
The collection is quite simple on the eye, and not overdone. It kind of has a throwback feel that reflects simplicity, and disposes of some fabrics and cuts that have dominated runways for a little while now.
That means no leather panels, or mesh materials in sight. No baroque inspired symmetrical prints, or heavy colours, just a straight-forward collection. There are two pieces that standout however, the camoflauge jacket that has a superb cut and design; and an amazing Jaquard jacket that is printed with the rooftops of Cinque Terre, Italy.
