Justin Bieber is officially the new face for Calvin Klein.
We are only 7 days into 2015 and already we have our first major celebrity campaign. Following in the footsteps of the infamous Mark Wahlberg and Kate Moss, Calvin Kleins newest campaign features none other than pop’s bad boy, Justin Beiber. The campaign was shot by renowned fashion photographer Mert and Marcus, which see’s the Biebs pose in a series of provocative shots for the brand.
“Calvin Klein is such an iconic brand and I am excited and honored to become a part of the Calvin Klein brand legacy with this campaign. I have been a longtime fan of the brand and have worn their jeans and underwear for a while, so this is kind of a dream come true,” said Bieber. “This is the beginning of an exciting new year for me, personally and professionally, and being a part of this campaign has been a fantastic opportunity and experience.”.
We at PAUSE think Justin Beiber is a great choice for the fashion brand, whether he will prove as iconic as his predecessor Mark Wahlberg, we’re not too sure. But does a brand as huge as Calvin Klein even need to have a celebrity campaign? Is this marketing genius or a bid to conform with what other major fashion labels are doing? Lets us know your thoughts.
