MFW: Philipp Plein Autumn/Winter 2015 Collection

British menswear designer, LCF graduate, Na Di Studio, returns with her AW15 Collection.

NA DI STUDIO _ AW15 _ LOOKBOOK_Page_18
This season, Na Di Studio focused on translating an interpretation of the classic gentleman of today. With her signature co-ordinated suits and uniquely detailed finishes, a contrast of classic and contemporary is clear. This influence of the British gentleman stems from Na Di’s inspiration of university professors and current film ‘The Theory Of Everything’ with themes of traditional tailoring and stationary styled aesthetics.

The playful mathematician style sees the collection range from realistic to fanciful whilst keeping a clear signature of clashing prints. Combining a little bit of each element, keeps a balance between classic and traditional menswear with contemporary and intriguing elements in each of the designs.

Philipp Plein creates his own aviation army.

PHILIPP1

Philipp Plein does his own version of military inspired menswear with his “AP” branding with a collection that features jumpsuits, tunics, bomber jackets and oversized aviator jackets that have been given a defined waist as models gets a cinched belted waist. With a monochrome colour palette that also infuses some additional colours consisting of soft pink, yellow and red, the collection is all about creating a uniform for the Philipp Plein man but with influences from the military and air force. Not to mention the little kit bags the models were carrying down the runway, saying goodbye to those chunky man bags I suppose. See the full collection below:
