MFW: MSGM Autumn/Winter 2015 Collection

Massimo Giorgetti took a U-turn from his fabrication approach.

MSGM
MSGM revealed their Autumn/Winter 2015 collection and we’ve gotten accustomed to seeing bold prints and colour but everything was toned down this time round. Solid colours, mostly greys were abundant and there was a dash of colour with reds, pinks and blue denim. Armani-esque pinstripes which were resurrected at Dior last season also made an appearance. The designer went back to the 90s to source inspiration for what might be the brands best collection till date.

There were still the playful elements with the appliqued robots on the red denim jacket and the mixed print sweatshirt. As at the time of this post, we can’t confirm the origin of the footwear used to style the looks but they are also worthy of note. They featured straps and buckles on the vamp and some of them had fur on the upper vamps.

The silhouettes stayed elegant, trousers came in about 3 different shapes and the outerwear was kept minimal with the only detailing being the appliqued motifs that were also present on shirts and jackets.

Overall it was a fantastic collection, see all below:
