ORANGE CULTURE presents ETCHED JOURNEY LOOKBOOK
Adebayo Oke-Lawal attempts to contrast his childhood experiences through the “Etched Journey” collection for Orange Culture’s Spring/Summer 2016, “Growing up in the metropolitan city of Lagos that was constantly nestled in chaos, vitality and a spiral of fleeting hopes, it was almost impossible to catch a moment beautified by its silence alone.” The lookbook instantly contrasts this through the perceived beautified silence of the surroundings, as a result putting the focal point on the elegantly curated clothing, which allows them to translate the designer’s story.
The looks of the collection first featured at the African Constellation show at Pitti Uomo in Florence, Italy, last month whilst the rest of the collection made it’s debut last week at the Menswear Fashion Week in South Africa.
