Ricardo Tisci is pulling out all the stops for his upcoming New York Fashion Week presentation, with a rare appearance in New York itself, and a special partnership with Marina Abramovi?, the Givenchy creative director has also decided to allow distribution of tickets to the general public. Allocating 1,200 tickets to “real people,” 820 of those will be up for grabs for people like you and I. Another 280 will be set aside for students and faculty from New York’s fashion schools, including FIT, Parsons, Pratt Institute and the High School for Fashion Industries. The remaining 100 will be held for people living nearby the presentation venue, which is yet to be announced.

With the presentation due to feature menswear, this is not a show you will want to miss. Who knows, you might even get a seat next to Kanye West. Tickets are available now via the givenchynyfw15.com website, with the show taking place on September 9th at 6:30pm. Successful applicants will be notified and sent invitations before September 7th.

Hong Kong designs present bold looks.

PATH

Hong Kong based brand, PATH, have just released their Fall/Winter campaign for this year containing bold looks and themes throughout and we at PAUSE definitely give it our seal of approval. With Liu Yang as the featuring model and Janine Grosche as the designer behind the brand, the look book presents a definitive monochrome look with a casual yet almost militaristic edge.

In this modern era, individuality combined with creativity seems to rest comfortably at the forefront of most trends and PATH is no different. All you have to do is look at their website and you are confronted with the bold statement of “move forward, dare being different”.

Bold statements seem to be prevalent throughout their AW15 campaign and rightly so. The overall look of PATH’s AW15 collection is definitely suited towards the 21st century fashonista, a man who is now no longer intimidated by the thought of stepping outside the box and wearing the box as his latest accessory trend. We love how PATH have brandished phrases such as ‘MIND FULL OR MINDFUL’ on its monochrome collection as it almost gives the collection a thought provoking stance, giving off the impression that it could easily pass as a work of art.

Let’s face it, that is what modern day fashion is now. An art form being displayed in many different ways and PATH are not shying away from that. We at PAUSE love the oversized, loosely fitted feel of the PATH’s new seasonal wear alongside the use of elastic ribbing and cuffing. We think it is one for all suburban dwellers who are looking to update their look and cannot wait to get our hands on the collection.
