Olivier Rousteing’s Plan to Change Fashion after he changed Balmain

By November 4, 2015Fashion News

Stylish Christmas jumper for you stylish folks this winter season.

Parisian brand KENZO launches a limited-edition capsule collection to keep you warm and stylish during the happiest but also coldest holiday season. Keno’s latest collection features its signature eye, tiger and Eiffel Tower emblems on sweatshirts, jumpers, t-shirts and accessories.

Most of the graphics are inspired by the iconic Tiger, like the one on the Iphone case and the square scarf; however, other items in the line-up include classic espadrilles and accessories with metallic accents.

With this being said, what is really impressive is Kenzo’s ability to figure out how to replace “clichéd holiday iconic sweaters” with the brand’s own design, conceiving a more stylish than embarrassing unisex jumper.

Will it may become a trend in every established fashion brand or it will just be thrown away together with all the 2015 Christmas decorations boxes in January?

Olivier Rousteing Thinks Instagram Makes Fashion More Accessible_1

The Olivier Rousteing’s Balmain x H&M collaboration is about to hit the stores this week, and the buzz surrounding it has been beyond anyone’s expectations. Just imagine the lines forming the night before! The designer has another reason to celebrate: his 30th birthday and 5 years as a Creative Director of Balmain. The round numbers demand to put life into prospective: eleven years ago Rousteing himelf was standing in lines to purchase Karl Lagerfeld and H&M collaboration. And look at him now: from the mysterious unknown young designer who got handed the old-fashioned French house Balmain on the verge of bancrupcy, he became one of the most recognised fashion faces, needless to mention with the brand’s doubled revenue as a result. To go that far that fast requires a lot of dedication, and the designer takes seriously everything he does starting from his day job to his night partying. Working hard and partying hard seems to be Rousteing’s philosophy, whose Instagram feed is filled with pictures with celebrities like Rihanna, Kim K and co, and Roisy Hunnungtion-Whiteley. His chiseled cheeckbones earned him a rather narcissistic reputation, but you know what they say, “haters gonna hate”. The designer believes in himself and the brighter, more accepting and colour-blind fashion future. Read his entire life and style philosophy over at GQ.
