Just when you thought you were maybe getting over the superstar – enter, Rick Owens.
The design visionary has reimagined the silhouette as the Star Ripple Boot, which takes the shell of the sneaker (appropriate since the shell toe is one of the only superstar identifiers left) and reworks it into a slouch suede sneaker boot. Owens is hugely responsible for adidas’s meteoric rise in the fashion stakes over the past few years and it seems the two brands are a match made in heaven as the Californian continues to bring the outlandishly creative to the German sportswear giants.
