Turning the third floor of the Queen Elizabeth II Centre into a desert space, where motorcycles are set next to trunks and where leather jackets and washed out denims are almost mandatory, was a bit of a challenge for Belstaff. But because the motorcyclist-inspired brand overcome any type of obstacle, let’s call it a regular day. On the third day of London Collections: Men, the British established house delivered their SS17 presentation at a walking distance from Buckingham Palace, at the exact same time when the Queen herself was celebrating her 90th birthday.
Smartly entitled “On Any Sunday Escape On Wheels”, the movie paid tribute to the 1971 Steve McQueen’s movie with efficiency and added a modern twist by featuring the likes of major top models Armando Cabral, Mayowa Nicholas and Noah Huntley. Solid and stylish, the Spring/Summer 2017 included biker trousers and mountain boots.
