If there were any one fabric to be taken from Ximon Lee’s SS17 collection, it would be ALL OF THEM.
He showcased his incredibly innovative collection, presented by GQ China, on Sunday 12th June in the BFC Showspace. The collection was an ode to the future, an ode to individuality and an ode to defying convention. It featured a groundbreaking array of sheer, textured fabrics from a moulded PVC to an iridescent mesh and just about everything in between.
The collection looked much like a walking collage of ideas and experiments, as no two looks were the same but rather featured elements of his design process and evidence of his constantly evolving developments. Ximon Lee SS17 was incredibly forward-thinking and easily one of the most avant-garde offerings of this season’s LCM.
