Parisians have always been known for two things, their predilection to an amorous disposition, and their effortless ‘Parisian Chic’ style of dressing. When attending the shows in the city of light, you’re guaranteed to see both – but only offered the opportunity to walk away with one. Such is the style of relative newcomer, Ami.
The Spring/Summer 17′ Alexandre Mattiussi continues to breathe an air of youthful cool into his burgeoning brand. Mattiussi’s latest offering presented the usual opportunity of genderless dressing with loose contemporary tailoring, checkered outerwear and billowing, relaxed trousers all in a palette of pretty pastels and sumptuous, powdery hues – and all favourable to those with a penchant for the androgynous.
The DNA of this label lies in its genius juxtaposition of the slouched and sporty mixed with the slim cut and tailored – both only succeeding in complimenting each others contrasting silhouettes. Clever styling tricks mixed with a distinct creative direction made this one of the PAUSE teams favourites for SS17′.
