Fashion’s favourite, Vetements, announces new Collection Director.
Nina Nitsche, former first assistant of Martin Margiela, of Martin Maison Margiela, for over two decades, has been announced as Vetement’s new Collection Director. Nitsche will join the Paris-based label and head the design team under founder and creative director Demna Gvasalia’s direction.
Gvasalia himself has stated that this is a time that we see Vetements “Now it’s becoming adult.” this appointment seems as though its a step in that direction. We have to wait and see Nitsche’s influence, but the brand’s SS17 show takes place in Paris this Sunday.
