Playing with light and dark.
The title of the new collection by German designer Janine Grosche is ‘What is done in the dark?…’, and has been inspired by light and dark and the belief that everything that is hidden will be brought into the open, that every secret will eventually be brought to light. The SS17 collection plays on the idea of the subconscious mind, repressed thoughts and the idea that uncovering hidden thoughts and unconscious patterns is a healing process in itself. The clothes themselves are in a palette of black, white and yellow with splashes of an understand orange hue and blue denim. A pair of wide-leg leather trousers with an interesting waistband steal the show, along with a matching jacket. Overall the collection is a perfect mix of wearable and statement pieces.
