Luxury Italian fashion house Marni and major online retailer Zalando have joined forces on a special collaboration they’re calling #StepIntoMARNI. Marni is to put its spin on classic footwear icons that retail on the e-tailer, these being Dr. Martens, Reebok, Timberland and Vans.
And the result is rather swoon-worthy. By way of Marni’s artistic and avant-garde spirit, classy and luxurious updates have been injected into a Reebok Instapump Fury, a Vans Sk8-Hi, a classic Timberland boot and a Dr. Martens loafer. While we see some experimental shapes and playful textures in coloured leather for a luxe but minimal aesthetic in this exclusive collection, the right amount of original branding has been sustained so the shoes keep their instant recognizability.
