Where: The Remedy, 124 Cleveland Street, London

The Remedy is a wine bar and kitchen run by 2 friends just shy of London’s Great Portland Street.  Open from 8am through to 12am (Monday to Friday) and 4pm to 12am (Saturdays), it could fast become your one stop shop for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

I hit it up for drinks and light sharing plates with a friend one Saturday night.  A small and cosy venue, it’s perfect for a catch up with friends, or even date night.  Super fun staff make you feel at home straight away, and you quickly settle in for the evening ahead.

If you don’t know much about wine, or perhaps don’t really like it that much, I highly recommend coming here!  The staff really know their stuff, and recommend the perfect wine to go with each dish; and that makes all the difference!  Selecting the right wine to go with your food really affects the palette and flavours for the better.  With the vast offering of wines on the menu, there is something for everyone.  If wine isn’t your thing when you walk in, once they have finished with you, it will be on your way out!

I loved the fact that I could pace myself and nibble throughout the evening with a new glass of wine each time.  The food menu is sophisticated, plus adventurous, and combined with the wine it really does pop!

Best bit? Deep fried monkfish tail – so meaty and full of flavour!

Tip? Order an oyster, they are only £1 in their Oyster Happy Hour (4pm-6pm weekdays, all day Saturday).

Save space for? Dessert obviously! Sorbet and Vermouth.

All in all, good company, great ambience, quality food and wine and an all round perfect experience.
