Oliver Spencer is a brand we can always turn to for the perfect marriage of modern day stylings and time-honoured quality craftsmanship. In keeping with the brand’s strengths, the Autumn / Winter 17′ lineup comprised of an alluring selection of contemporary staples, traditional silhouettes and a handful of trend-led pieces rounding out the mix.
While the Oliver Spencer penchant for grey, in all it’s hues and shades, hasn’t shown any signs of waning; the designer complimented the subdued colour palette with autumnal greens and oranges, which were further juxtaposed against splashes of baby blue and pastel pink in just about every form possible.
The expected lineup of stylish cropped trousers, bomber jackets, outerwear, roll necks and tailoring essentials were accompanied by a couple of, albeit unexpected, velour suits in rich red and forest green which, somehow, under the remit of Oliver Spencer seem that little bit more approachable for the average man.
As a final affirmation that the designer is a man with one eye on the future, the entire collection was available for purchase on innovative social media platform, Vero, from the beginning of the show – and if that’s not ‘see now, buy now’ we don’t know what is.
