This season Acne Studios designer, Jonny Johansson, perpetuates the brand’s exponentially growing relevance in the current fashion landscape. The Swedish label has been a constant among menswear favourites for a number of years now and, chances are, among your friends there’s at least one brand superfan, or in most cases, more than one – further testament to Johansson’s place in menswear.
For AW17, the celebrated designer continues his prediction to take pillars of menswear, strip them back to their most contemporary form and elevated simple fabric choices to create a selection of timeless treasures. This season’s lineup featured sumptuous outerwear, chunky knits, printed shirts and a quintessentially Acne approach to suiting. Autumnal shades of brown, camel, dusty pinks and oranges will make for a winter ready ensemble that’ll effortlessly form the basis of any man’s winter wardrobe.
