Louis Vuitton Owners May Have Just Bought Supreme for $500m

By February 9, 2017Fashion News

Rumors are yet to be confirmed.

Longtime Supreme brand director Angelo Baque just announced his departure from the streetwear label. Was it because the brand is going to change hands? The rumor is that the luxury conglomerate LVHM that already owns Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, Givenchy and Dior has bought Supreme for $500m. If the rumors were true, it would definitely have massive implications for the skate brand. What would one of the biggest brands in the luxury sector do with (probably) the coolest streetwear brand? Louis Vuitton has over 3,700 stores worldwide. In comparison, Supreme likes to keep their products limited. Would Supreme business have to grow to meet LVHM standards? We will hopefully find out whether the rumors are true very soon. Stay tuned for updates!

Angelo Baque stated that he had launched his own creative agency called Baque Creative, but he is still supposed to consult for Supreme.
