Willy Chavarria Fall/Winter 2017 Collection

By February 15, 2017Fashion News

Hate is fed.

This was the first time Willy Chavarria presented his collection at New York Fashion Week. The interesting collection was titled ”Harder” because the designer believes that now it is the time to love and fight harder than ever. He wanted to explore oppression and movements such as the Black Power movement and transgender movement. Chavarria’s obviously was not the only one who presented a political collection at this year’s NYFW, however, his collection was different because his models were standing in enclosed fenced cages before he released them to pose on the pedestals for his fashion presentation. Chavarria tried to show the beauty in oppression and his collection included sport uniforms, long leather coats and oversized pants. A few pieces also featured messages like ”Savor Kindness” and “Hate Is Fed.”
