What are your thoughts?

Late last year, reports of an unlikely collaboration between Japanese anime ‘Dragon Ball Z’ and Adidas leaked. As fans of the cult TV show eagerly wait for an announcement of the drop, a better look of the seven sneaker capsule has been revealed.

Opting for the same playful palette as the hit series, Adidas will be using different silhouettes to represent each of the dragon balls. What we now have a better look at three of the styles, including the  ‘Freiza’ shoe in the collection which captures the shows villain through a unique colourway of Adidas’ new Yung-1 trainer. The chunky sneaker which bares similarities to the Yeezy Wave Runner 700, refreshingly contrasts purples and whites to create a 90’s feel to the footwear.

Adidas uses the Kamanda shilouette to represent Majin Buu’s characterisitcs. Specifically, the sneaker features a pale salmon pink colour around the shoe’s upper, a midsole and outsole in black, and a gold upper heel that matches the gold branding along the side.

For those who prefer a more lightweight fit, the Adidas Prophere sneaker is inspired by the character ‘Cell’. Shades of forest greens combined with purple and navy accents champions being both subtle and original for such a collection. Other rumoured models that the collaboration is said to be adapting includes the Ultra Boot, NMD_CS1 and NMD Racer models, sure to reflect the vibrancy of the Dragon Ball Z animation.

Take a look at all the imagery we have on the collection so far below.
