Taking inspiration from retro silhouettes and merging them with innovative ideas, The Nike Air Max 270 represents Nike's past, present and future.
With the recent success of the new-fashioned Vapormax silhouette and the relaunched styles of Air Max 97’s, Nike have been experimenting with their air technology once again to create the Air Max 270. Planned to drop next month, just weeks ahead of Air Max Day, the 270 is a blend of the nostalgic with the futuristic to feel at home within a millennials wardrobe.
The first Air Max to be developed as a lifestyle shoe, the modish appearance of the shoe looks attractively ahead of its time. Taking inspiration from their back catalogue, Nike have made a trainer which takes retro aspects of the Air Max 93 and the Air Max 180, merging ingredients together to create a fresh hybrid design. Just as the Air Max 93, the sole features 270 degrees of visible air which the trainer names itself after.
The tallest Air Max to date, the Air Heel unit measures an impressive 32-mm tall, designed to offer ultimate cushion comfort. First tested by Golden State Warriors basketball player Kevin Durant back in November last year, the 270 will launch on 1st February and is expected to be produced in a plethora of colourways throughout the year.
