“New job L’Homme Jacquemus”
The words “new job” and “something very special” from the mouth of Simon Porte Jacquemus, the founder and creative director of Jacquemus, sparked numerous rumours to spread throughout the fashion industry, however after Jacquemus came out at the end of his house’s Fall/Winter 2018 show at Paris Fashion Week wearing a “New job L’Homme Jacquemus” sweatshirt we got some answers to what the designer was talking about. In fact, Jacquemus revealed plans for a menswear line and it has got everyone excited.
When speaking to Vogue the creative stated that: “there were a lot of rumors, that I was going to CÉLINE, that I was going to Versace. Everyone thought I was going to another house but I’m staying at my own. You can have a new job even if it’s at your own house.”
Furthermore, when speaking about the collection that is set to be unveiled later this year, Jacquemus expressed that: “I don’t want to do the men’s exactly like the women’s. Everything comes from the heart with me, so I am going to discover myself as I design it.”
