Haider Ackermann Parts Ways with Berluti

By March 30, 2018Fashion News

Fans of the designer are gutted.

The Colombian-born French designer that is Haider Ackermann has just left the position of creative director at luxury fashion house, Berluti. The news came as a shock to many as Ackermann spent just 3 seasons at the label with all of them receiving outstanding reviews by the vast majority of critics within the fashion industry. Ackermann spoke on the subject, explaining: “I am immensely proud to have been able to put my creativity at the service of this house with an exceptional knowhow, whilst working with a passionate team. I thank them for their commitment.”

As for Berluti’s stance, the chief executive officer of the house, Antoine Arnault, had this to say: “Haider has been at the core of the evolution of Berluti’s collections and image these past few seasons. I want to thank him for everything he has accomplished since his arrival. His feel for materials, colours, and his wonderful shows will always be linked to the history of the house.”

Although, this leaves a big question mark over the empty position, with many people murmuring that the recently departed Dior Homme creative, Kris Van Assche, will likely step up to the task. I guess we will have to wait and see…
