Vans and Rains Collaborate on New Kicks

Denmark-based brand Rains have worked with Vans for an upcoming trio of trainers. Using the Sk8-Hi, Old Skool Lite and Slip-On Lite shapes as a basis for the project, each variation takes heritage elements from both brands to create clean-cut looks.

The colours adorning the classic silhouettes are hues taken from Refshaleøen (a former industrial island off the harbour of Copenhagen). Vans integrates their UltraCush™ Lite technology and have fused it with Rains’ jacket materials on the upper to create practical, stylish footwear. Plus the sneakers incorporate reflective details, custom aglets and a unique footbed featuring an aerial view of Refshaleøen, emphasising the Scandinavian connection.

Vans x Rains will release their collection exclusively to Europe – online from 16th March.
