After initially dropping by surprise yesterday in a limited quantity, the OFF-WHITE x Converse Chuck Taylor is set to see a wider release in a few days to give everyone who wasn’t lucky enough to see Converse’s tweet regarding the surprise drop another chance to get their hands on the shoe.
The upcoming pair are the latest output from Virgil Abloh’s string of deconstructed and re-imagined classic silhouettes, with the pair featuring a translucent upper as well as a subtly blue hued sole. Furthermore, the sneaker features some of Virgil’s most recognisable design points such as the red zip tie and quoted text, with the pair most notably reading “VULCANIZED” over the midsole, “SHOELACES” on the shoelaces and “LEFT” and “RIGHT” on the toe box of the opposite shoe.
