"In God we trust in the President we don't"
Bringing a DIY approach to shooting a lookbook, cult streetwear label Awake showed the process behind their SS20 editorial with pegs and stones keeping a piece of white fabric up – visible in the background of images.
The two models who posed in front of the white fabric showed off the latest colour-filled garments from the New York label, which includes the usual selection of logo-clad t-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts in radiant new colourways.
Focusing in on the bold prints displayed in this collection, one being a Nelson Mandela quote “civilizing the uncivilized” and another reading “In God we trust in the President we don’t” there are some political undertones to this brightly coloured collection.
