Earlier this month, Samuel Ross’s label A-Cold-Wall announced that it was supporting 10 independent black businesses through a total of £25,000 in grants. Having announced the recipients through British Vogue, artist Daniel Arsham has worked with Ross to match this initiative with a second round of grants.
This time, Arsham will be providing financial support to ten black artists or architects, giving each an unrestricted $3,000 (around £2,370) grant.
These will be distributed on June 19 and applicants should email [email protected] with a portfolio and information on their practice.
For those eligible, be sure to apply for this grant and see Arsham’s Instagram post announcing the news below.

Beyond my financial support for Black Lives Matter & other organizations, I have been actively looking for additional ways to support Black creatives DIRECTLY. Police reform and social justice are just one part of the puzzle towards dismantling systemic racism in The United States. I reached out to my colleague @design.by.samuelross to inquire about his own initiatives in this area. I will be matching the initial $30,000 that A-COLD-WALL* has given to Black entrepreneurs for a new round of grants to Black Artists and Architects. Samuel & I will be selecting 10 Black Artists or Architects to receive unrestricted $3,000 grants. To apply, Please email [email protected] with your portfolio and information on your practice. Grants will be distributed on June 19th. This is just one of many initiatives we are pursuing.
