As the sunshine lures its way in, why not deep dive into our freshest selection of new music this Friday as we offer you the latest tracks you need in your rotation.

MORRISSON ft. AITCH – HOUSE & GARAGE

 

East Londoner Morrisson has called on Mancunian top-dog Aitch for a brand new track titled ‘House & Garage’. Following up from Morrisson’s previous established drops, this collaborative track takes to a different era, reminiscent of an old-school garage house party in the late 90s. Directed by KC Locke, Harry James and Morrisson himself – the track provides the perfect balance of nostalgia and new generation music.

NSG – COLONIZATION

Furthering the success from their previous single ‘Drunk Guitar’, six-piece collective NSG are back, this time gracing us with a brand new track entitled ‘Colonization’. The track begins in their signature, suave manner, showcasing the afro-bashment group among a full piece string orchestra. Stringing along their renowned flows and smooth melodies over the 4pLAY-produced cut, yet again, the boys provide a pleasantly expected insight into their musical creativity and abilities.

MAX LEO – COULD BE SOMETHING

Continuing to define himself among the non-linear brand of pop music, Max Leo paints a vivid picture of the Gen-Z romance throughout his latest offering ‘Could Be Something’. The infectious single is fuelled by ambient lo-fi textures, offering notes of nostalgia hinged with a modern-day love song.

VORY ft. LANDSTRIP CHIP – THIS SIDE

 

Grammy-winning artist Vory has released a brand new single and video for his new single ‘This Side’ featuring Landstrip Chip. At just 23 years of age, Vory has vastly defined himself as a force to be reckoned with. Utilising the combination of both hard work and talent, the latest track taken from his self-titled EP explores talented dancers front and centre, located in a strip club, in order to showcase onstage theatrics as well as the behind the scenes culture.

LOUIS DUNFORD – BALLAD OF BENJAMIN 

 

Louis Dunford has released a powerful video for his track ‘Ballad of Benjamin’. Helping raise awareness for knife crime and The Ben Kinsella Trust, the Charlotte Regan-directed visual provides an emotive showcase of storytelling, based on Louis’ personal experience of losing a friend to a knife attack. Paying tribute to Ben Kinsella, the video is set out to portray the impact that knife crime can have on a young person’s life.

MHD – AFRO TRAP PT. 11 (KING KONG)

MHD is back. Rising to fame back in 2015, MHD slowly became a unanimous favourite among the masses, even establishing his very own style ‘Afro Trap’. Renowned for his continuous sequels, the afro prince has indeed returned in time for summer with his latest offering ‘Afro Trap Pt. 11 (King Kong).

EBHONI – REP IT

Toronto songstress Ebhoni is back. With no better way to express her feelings and experiences through her seamless, sonic delivery, her latest single ‘Rep It’ is a tribute to the previous months of her life which has felt the darkest, faced with really bad situations and relationships. The song, produced by FrancisGotHeat, provides her with so much clarity, she reflects: ensuring she will never allow herself to get into such a place again.

TIANA MAJOR9 – SILLY JAMES (JANET KAY REWORK)

After global success, director Steve McQueen has teamed up with Motown Records UK for the official soundtrack behind the landmark five-film anthology ‘Small Axe’. Personally curated by McQueen, the soundtrack features an original score by award-winning composer Mica Levi, along with tracks featuring Michael Kiwanuka and focus single: ‘Silly Games’ (a rework of Janet Kay’s classic’ by RnB songstress Tiana Major9.
