LFW January is Off.
The British Fashion Council has just announced that the January edition of London Fashion Week, otherwise known as London Fashion Week Men’s, will not be held in 2022 due to uncertainties arising from COVID-19.
Citing “the environment surrounding Covid-19 at the time, challenges around the movement of goods, samples and people in the single market and customs union post-Brexit, and following surveys and roundtables with designers, as well as conversations with sales showrooms regarding selling periods” – the decision was made to curtail the calendar to three events in February, June and September which will continue to merge womenswear and menswear collections.
Alongside this, the remaining three events will follow with the successful format introduced in September 2021, the hybrid digital-physical schedule will continue to incorporate catwalk shows, presentations, appointments, and events throughout London, as well as digital content available at londonfashionweek.co.uk.
The current events for the year are set to take place from Friday 18th to Tuesday 22nd February 2022, Saturday 11th to Monday 13th June 2022 and Friday 16th to Tuesday 20th September 2022.
