Who will the winner be?
LVMH has announced the list of eight finalists for the LVHM PRIZE, with the final winner set to be announced in the coming months.
Being the most prestigious accolade in fashion, the LVHM PRIZE is an award that is organised by some of the world’s most important luxury brand conglomerates. It looks to recognise young and upcoming designers that are making a splash or looking likely to, with there being two key awards up for grabs. These include the LVMH Prize, which hands the eventual winner a 300,000-euro endowment in addition to a year-long mentoring experience by the dedicated LVMH team. The second award on offer is the Karl Lagerfeld Prize, which also gives a young designer a 150,000-euro allocation and allows them to benefit from a year of top-tier mentoring.
After last month’s semi-finals, the list of finalists are as follows:
- SHLYN by Ashlynn Park, South Korea.
- ERL by Eli Russell Linnetz, USA.
- KNWLS by Charlotte Knowles, United Kingdom and Alexandre Arsenault, Canada.
- ROISIN PIERCE by Róisín Pierce, Ireland.
- RYUNOSUKEOKAZAKI by Ryunosuke Okazaki, Japan.
- S.S. DALEY by Steven Stokey Daley, United Kingdom.
- TOKYO JAMES by Iniye Tokyo James, Nigeria.
- WINNIE NEW YORK by Idris Balogun, United States.
