Nike couldn't guarantee shipment delivery.
In the midst of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Nike today announced that they will be temporarily stopping online sales to Russia.
Posting an announcement via their Russian website, Nike stated that the decision had been made to halt online sales to the country because it could not be guaranteed that deliveries could be completed. The sportswear giant have also stated that physical brick and mortar stores in Russia will remain open for consumers to shop in, but any online sneaker and apparel orders would not be able to go ahead.
The company became the latest large scale company to reduce service to Russia due to the ongoing conflict, with it not being known when or if online orders will be able to resume for Russian consumers any time soon.
