In remembrance of the late designer.

Fondation Louis Vuitton recently unveiled an updated version of the late Virgil Abloh’s “Coming of Age” exhibition in Paris, looking to capture his futuristic vision.

Having previously debuted in Los Angeles back in 2019, Virgil Abloh’s “Coming of Age” exhibition looked to inspire the youth through a display that was based around the framework and complexities of male youth and boyhood, navigating social conditions such as race, class, and social economics. In this tribute to the great designer, Fondation Louis Vuitton has brought this exhibition back to life with some updated features, with everything from LED screens showing Abloh’s work, to artworks and zines of past shows being put on display. Additional inclusions see Abloh’s prior talks and lectures placed on big screens for visitors to come and enjoy, as well as projecting music videos that inspired the designer. As a man dedicated to inspiring the youth, this Paris-based space encapsulates the legacy that Abloh left behind and gives young people an insight into his otherworldly creative process.

The “Coming of Age” exhibition is currently on display at Fondation Louis Vuitton until April 27, 2022.
