Arriving as a part of the label’s autumn/winter 2022 collection, HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE’s latest drop comprises a slew of new LANTERN pieces which places print at the heart of its design approach.
A selection that “expresses the light of a lantern glowing through a tent,” the garments blend bold colours with contrasting tones of dark and light to emulate the aforementioned warm imagery in sartorial form. Constructed by drawing with pastels and developing their powders with a paintbrush, the resulting finish delivers a richness in colour expressed in delicate layers.
