Returning for the first instalment of their latest collaborative collection, British mainstays Fred Perry and the ever-iconic Raf Simons have reunited for a selection of co-designed classics.

Having most recently announced the end of his namesake brand after a period of 27 years in the fashion spotlight, Raf Simons is bowing out with an ode to his British roots as he teams up with Fred Perry for a new array of pieces that once again explore British youth culture. After their depiction of the Manchester, Northern Soul, and punk scenes in previous years, 2023’s release sees the duo celebrate “[…] communities coming together, united in music, fashion and friendship”, being directly inspired by the garments worn at raves, club nights and gigs. Shot by British photographer Ewen Spencer, the campaign imagery captures this sense of youthful exuberance and sense of belonging, being shot during a show by beat-punk band Kid Kapichi. The garments themselves are influenced by Simons’ fascination for uniforms, with the silhouettes and fabrics used throughout boasting a utilitarian, robust feel. The collection includes shirts, vests, trousers, jackets, as well as a range of accessories, with some standouts including a “D.R.E.A.M.S. LESS SWEET” graphic vest adorned with a co-branded emblem, a black and tan pin-laden knitted polo top, as well as a tan military parka jacket.

The first instalment of the last collection between Fred Perry and Raf Simons is available to shop now via the Fred Perry website.
