Chopping the Heel.
With Spring/Summer 2023 designs slowly making their way to boutiques, Balenciaga’s Demna does what he does best by creating a mule out of another silhouette: the 3XL Trainer.
Featuring a mixed mesh and polyurethane upper, the retro-inspired runner features distressed detailing such as scuffs and dirt marks throughout for an already roughed-up look. A pair of extra laces can also be seen wrapped around the toe box for added grunge and the heel is chopped off to reveal the effortless mule silhouette that we all know and love.
