The minimal takes on the classic Nike Air Force 1 continue as Matthew M. Williams’ 1017-ALYX-9SM and Nike reignite their collaborative flame through two new iterations of the mainstay sneaker.
The original link-up between the pairing saw various bold iterations of the Air Force 1 High come to fruition, with this more toned-down take between the duo being their most simplistic yet. With the internet being divided on whether this is subtle genius or pure brand laziness, the new Nike Air Force 1 Low x 1017-ALYX-9SM puts forward the literal equivalent of dabbing a plain canvas with paint once and never again as the signature silhouette stays classic in two triple white and triple black colourways. The small insertion of 1017-ALYX-9SM DNA arrives on the co-branded lace dubraes and heel area, with the latter seeing subtle “1017-ALYX-9SM” text sit pretty.
