We're Almost There...
After a considerable quiet period in relation to the mysterious JJJJound x adidas Samba, it looks as though the mythical unicorn of a shoe is set to officially release at some point in early 2024 as new imagery arrives.
After the initial unveiling of two other ”Tan/Brown/Gum’ and ‘Classic Black/White/Gum’ way back in 2022, the entire passing of 2023 looked like it had set in stone that the JJJJound x adidas Samba collaboration was never going to see the light of day. However, a new dose of official (?) imagery has hit the sneaker blogs, with a detailed look at a classic “Off-White/Core Black/Gum” iteration injecting a newfound sense of hope into the potential drop. This rumoured pair do exactly what JJJJound are typically known for, with simplistic branding and minimal material changes making sure to keep the soul of the Samba intact as the simple – and iconic – off-white upper colouring works alongside black trimmings on the adidas Three Stripes, heel, and tongue, as well as the action-ready gum sole. A dash of colour arrives on the leather sock-lining as a rich yellow adorns the “JJJJound” labelled in-sole, with the same simple JJJJound lettering sitting pretty in gold trefoil on the midfoot area.
The JJJJound x adidas Samba capsule is rumoured to be releasing in March 2024. Stay tuned to PAUSE for more information as it arrives.
