Combining futuristic fashion design with retro sports nostalgia.

Global sports brand PUMA has joined forces with American up-cycler Andrew Burgess and his brand VIVID VISIONS for an exclusive capsule collection. Crafted entirely from PUMA’s recycled polyester RE:FIBRE fabric, the five designs blend futuristic fashion with retro sports vibes, paying tribute to PUMA’s roots. Shot at London’s York Hall Leisure Centre, the creative imagery emphasises circular fashion’s infinite possibilities, transforming old garments into new ones repeatedly.

The visually striking campaign imagery features models wearing the garments repeatedly, emphasising the infinite possibilities of circular fashion. Burgess highlights his eye-opening experience learning about the intricate process of breaking down old textiles, which would otherwise end up in landfills, to create something new. The collection itself reflects the beauty of the RE:FIBRE recycling process, with designs embodying shredded, depolymerised, repolymerised, and reimagined textiles.

This collaboration is part of PUMA’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, with Burgess contributing to the brands Voices of A RE:GENERATION initiative. The one-off collection marks the culmination of Burgess’ Thread the Loop campaign, raising awareness of PUMA’s goal to source “100% of product polyester from textile waste.” PUMA’s dedication to sustainability is further showcased through the scaling up of textile recycling innovation. In 2024, official PUMA football replica jerseys will be manufactured using RE:FIBRE recycled materials, emphasising the brand’s shift to more sustainable fashion.
